Removing wax from your carpet & upholstery:
Allow the wax to harden (to speed up this process use a bag of ice), gently scrape off the excess wax.
Dampen a white cotton towel or use paper, fold it in half and place it over the wax. Press an iron set on “medium” over the towel for 10 seconds. The heat will draw the wax out of the carpet and onto the towel. Repeat until the wax is gone (you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds). Alternatively you can use a hairdryer, it may just take a few minutes longer.
Once the wax is gone, you may want to give that section of carpet / upholstery a wipe over with a damp cloth to clean up any residue.
Removing wax from a hard surface:
If the surface is wooden / scratch able I do not advise scraping off the wax, as this could damage the surface, leaving gouges & scratches.
Instead using warm soapy water, gently wipe it away (this is not as easy if it’s a paraffin wax spillage, so please bare that in mind)
